My Baby is 8 months old!

I swear that I just had him the other day! I can't get over how quickly time is slipping away from me. I mean I knew that this would happen because of previous experience. Hello? 2 other kids. But Owen just seems to be growing up at an alarming rate. Maybe its because he's my last but I'm trying to soak it all in. For the record, the little man is sitting up so good but seems to be stuck in reverse when it comes to scooting around. Its funny because the other 2 were walking by 9 months and I don't see Owen doing that anytime soon. I'm thankful because I want him to still be a baby for awhile longer.
He's also big on food, fruit being his #1 favorite. Banana muffins are a hit as well as any type of apple sauce. He's pretty good on veggies too but any funny texture like mashed potatoes is out. But he'll eat boiled chunks of potato (cooled) go figure. Hopefully his palete will be more developed than Ethan's.

Just love this little man who I'm thrilled to say is quite the momma's boy. Hey I've got the food :)

100 projects challenge

In keeping with my desire to use up a lot of my scrapbooking stash I've joined a challenge on the scrapshotz website ( www.scrapshotz.com) the goal is to create 100 projects before you purchase anymore scrapbooking supplies. I'm sure that I could do more with all my stuff but baby steps :) Projects are anything scrap related, cards, layouts, altered items, mini albums whatever. So I'm off to create and see how long it takes. I'll be posting monthly totals and the projects here. The challenge starts from Jan 1 so I've got a nice headstart from all the scrapbooking that I did previously :)

The power of a dancing musical mouse...

How cute are these two boys? My cousin's little guy was a guest at my house for a couple of hours just before Christmas break and I had to find a way to entertain 2 babies... Enter the musical dancing mouse...
He was a huge hit

Nothing tickles a babies' fancy quite like a stuffy that has glowing red cheeks and dances back and forth.
Plus the mouse sits there patiently waiting for grabby little hands...

more layouts

So this is the accumulation of my *me* time lately. All of these layouts were done in the last 2 weeks with the exception of a few of them. I've had so much fun with falling in love with scrapbooking again. Loving my cuttlebug and cricut machine again too!
The following 5 layouts were all done with the first monthly kit that I got from the memoryworkshop.ca Love how easy it was to pull these all together. I enjoyed them so much that a renewed my sub. for 3 more months.

Favorite photo of all the kids...I just love how the light is filtering through the trees.

playing with my new ali edward stamps from Technique Tuesday. A must have in any scrapbooker's stash :)

October Afternoon papers. Gotta love me some stripes :)

new scrapbook pages

these were done a month or so ago. My favorites of the time that hang on my wall :) This is so one of my favorites. I found and scanned pictures of my older 2 kids at the age of 5 months in similar poses to a photo I had of Owen. I think that its so cool how I can see the similarities between my 3 kids. The photos are arranged in birth order, Ethan, Abby and Owen
My little diva with a 'tude! Lord help me! Pray that she gets it all out of her system by the time that she's a teen ;)

My all time favorite photo of Ethan. One of the few non-weird, forced smiles that I usually get. What a handsome guy!!

Holiday update

Whew! Its been a crazy bit of a month. We all had a wonderful Christmas here, lots of presents, food and family. Although for a couple of days I wasn't sure if we were going to be well enough to host our Christmas Eve celebrations. Abby, Ethan and I all got hit with a very violent form of the GI flu. It all started with Abby then worked its way through the rest of us. Thankfully Owen didn't get it. Gotta love those extra antibodies from nursing :) I seemed to have gotten an extra bit of a problem from that virus because the night that I got so sick I ended up fainting twice. The second time that I fainted I hit the bridge of my nose. The next morning my nose was so swollen it was hard to put my glasses on. I'm still concerned because today marks a week since this all happened and my nose isn't as swollen but its crooked and I still have this weird buzzing in my head. My sister thinks I need to go get X-rayed to see if I broke anything. I'm thinking that she's right. Other than that we've all mended and managed to have an awesome Christmas. Ron truly outdid himself and bought me a pair of 1/2 carat diamond earrings. Totally blew me away and made me feel so special. He said that this was a special Christmas (our tenth being married) and I was worth it. Awww...such a sweetie. Made me feel a bit guilty because I wasn't able to finish my shopping for him due to being sick so I made it up to him when we went boxing day shopping ;)

Hoping to get some pictures put on to the computer this pm so that I can post a few of our celebrations. I didn't take too many because I was too busy enjoying things :)

Cousins...

A week or so ago my cousin came over with her little guy who just happens to be 16 days older than Owen. We just killing ourselves laughing at these two as the struggled to get the same toy. Kinda sucks when you can't crawl yet.

Too funny, Owen pushing Cohen down. Its like he's saying "back off kid these are mine!"

Cohen just decided it was way easier to just lay on top of Owen.

Festival de Noel projects

I said that I'd post them so here they are. I won 3 prizes and had so much fun doing these crafts. I did forget to photograph my advent calendar and my winter mini album...I'll try to remember to do them later. My very favorite project...my Joy wreath. *LOVE* how this turned out. I won 1st with it. My little singing angels all gold and white and while I didn't place with these I loved them too. First place in this category was a cross-stitched santa picture which was gorgeous and probably took forever to do.

My Christmas card which placed 3rd.
And my scrapbook layout which placed 2nd.

Pictures of Abby, Owen and Santa. Could not get Ethan to come with us.

Abby won a first and a fifth place for her projects (scrapbook page and card). She was so excited!

Rhonda's trees that won second place. They were so awesome!
So of the other projects. There were so many great enteries! The judges must have had a hard time picking winners.

updates...

There has been quite a bit of excitement around here lately. As you can see my sweet girl has been moonlighting as a wreastler. My baby is growing up way too fast, he's now offically sitting up, without squishing his tummy.

I think I just might cry.

How cute are those dark little eyes?

We've also been busy making Christmas crafts to enter into the Festivel de Noel here in Plamondon. The kids have been working on their gingerbread houses and I've been creating some fun Christmas decor items along with an advent calendar for the kids. I'll be posting pictures of our entries from the festival.
