Happy and yes I do have other kids!

Guess what came??? Finally my new table and chairs!! Love them!! So anxious to redo other rooms. My little monkey is now kinda cruising around furniture and walls, he hangs on for dear life but its so cute :)

Abby was so excited to get her new blanket made especially by my grandma which is so precious because my grandma is 86 and I don't know how many more she'll be able to make.

My kids had so much fun on their spring break playing outside with their dad.

Ethan was having a ball trying to hit his dad with snowballs while Ron was plowing out the driveway (yeah!) Love that I was able to capture this!

And its offical we have way too much snow! Getting to be a 4 letter word in this house ;)

wow! 2 posts in one day

We just spent the afternoon at my sister-in-law's just playing, scrapbooking, eating and of course taking some pictures. Like I'd go anywhere without my camera ;) I was able to take advantage of her great light and this totally cool ancient rocking chair. I totally want one or something like it. If anyone finds one at a garage sale let me know! Anywhoo my little Owen is quite willing to sit and let his momma take pictures so I had fun. I'm pleased to say that I did this all in manual and my settings were 1/60ss, iso 400, f/5.6 I probably could have bumped up my shutter speed but I wanted to make sure that I could have a larger area in focus.

So which do you prefer? Black and white or color?

Personally I love a good black and white but my wonderful dh loves all things color.

Probably part of his artistic nature. I mean how do you paint oils in black and white? I'm sure its been done and been lovely but not my husband.

So back to the question. Black and white or color? Course this baby is so cute that the answer could easily be both!

I think that I'm up to about 108 projects since January 1 this year. I've been really enjoying working with The Memory Workshop kits because they just let me scrap! Very freeing to just grab the kit and start working. The following pages were all done with the March main kit featuring chatterbox papers and embellishments. I got 6 layouts done with the kit and still had 2 full pieces of cardstock, 1 sheet of pattern paper, 1/3 of sheet of chipboard stickers, 1/2 a sheet of epoxy stickers and some flowers/buttons leftover. So I probably could still do another layout. I pulled out my trusty needle and thread and stitched the blue flowers just for some added dimension.

chipboard heart is from a Fancy Pants collection and the letters are basic grey (from January bonus kit) I covered the chipboard heart with white paint then used frosted lace stickles to add a touch of sheen.

This was a super fast and fun page to do. I kept it simple and I just adore it!

Ok this is one that wasn't part of the kit. I had gotten in some of the foil SEI papers and decided to use some chipboard stars and a little prima bling. I cut up the swirls cause they didn't fit right on my page, add a little Daisy D's rubon, a little journalling and poof! Easy Peasy!

The goodness of smoothies

Guess who has discovered strawberry smoothies? He just dove right into them! Totally funny cause it looks like his face is melting.

I've been playing around with my new lens and am so loving it! I can't get over the difference a super wide angle makes! I picked up a second-hand sigma 17-70mm 2.8 lens and am thrilled with it. Very glad I got this lens because prices for Pentax gear is going to jump like crazy come April 1.

A bit about Owen...

Yup my baby is 10 months old already. Seems like just yesterday we were racing to the hospital hoping to make it there before this little one made his arrival. He is by far my most easy baby. He sleeps well, eats well and is just a ray of sunshine on a daily basis. We are so blessed to have him in our family. As of today he sits up, eats only "real food" and detests any form of baby food except baby cereal. Will not take a bottle, still loves to nurse and wants hugs and cuddles all the time. He is a complete momma's boy but loves to hang out with Daddy. Ethan and Abby are his favorite playmates by far. Their rooms provide quite the interesting play areas.

He rolls over, rotates himself in a circle to get to toys and things that he wants. He won't crawl but gets up on all fours and rocks back and forth. He slithers backwards to get to places he wants to be but loves when you hold is hands and walk with him.

He also loves all water! Baths or swimming he loves it all, splashing is the best fun! Favorite toys (besides his brother and sister) are his leapfrog learning table, jingle bell bugs, noaks ark boat and anything that he can bang together to make noise with.

Favorite foods include ice cream, bananas (not mushed!), any fruit, baby cookies, muffins, chicken, strawberry smoothies, water, cheese and applesauce. Potatoes are only good if they are not mashed and gravy is a no go for him. He also loves noodles with cheese and all kinds of fish. Veggies are hit and miss but he like brussel sprouts and carrots, corn is good too. Broccoli and peas are a sometimes veggie. Cucumbers, sweet peppers and sugar snap peas are like as well. Pickles and lemons are high on the list of yummy food too.

Made with the March kit from The Memory Workshop featuring the new Chatterbox line. I've been very impressed with this kit. I'm not much one for Chatterbox but I was surprised at how much better they've gotten. Thanks Sandra for awesome kits to work with!

Punching through that finish line...

I'm done!! Whoohoo!! I offically completed 100 scrapbooking projects since January 1, 2009. I did so without purchasing anything new and I'm shocked that I did it! This was a canvas that I had hanging around that I wanted to work with. I used a Heidi Swapp butterfly mask and blended 4 colors of acrylic paint. Red, pink, orange and yellow. Then I used a damp brush with white acrylic to blend the colors together. I used these particular colors because I love them and they work with my livingroom :)

I used a butterfly stamp on transperancy (stamp from Inkadinkado) with black stazon and stickles in diamond and black sparkles.

The rubons are basic grey and I also added some mirrored butterflies from Heidi Swapp with some bling strips and Making Memories rhinestone brads. I also used some older Daisy D's rubons to accent my photo.

The font is cut from my cricut using the calligraphy cartridge. I cut all the words 3 times and layered them for a more dimensional look.

And one of my little man using the March kit from The Memory Workshop, featuring Chatterbox papers and embellishments. Love the felt birdie :) Added some Making Memories and Stampin' Up! rubons and a little journalling to finish off my last layout for this challenge.

Now I think that I've earned a little shopping trip...lol!

To my 100 projects challenge :) I've got only 2 left and the funny thing is they are taking longer than the previous 98. Go figure. This layout was done with some "old papers" American Crafts to be exact. Plus some embellishments from one of my Memory Workshop kits.

Just love this one with the February Memory Workshop kit. I dug out a winter photo of Ethan that I hadn't done and just had some fun. Yup the red jacket doesn't techniqually match the papers but I like the look of it. The journalling reads: "in the depth of winter men go out onto frozen lakes and drill holes. Through these holes they try to lure fish onto their hooks in the hopes of bringing home meat. In these times they usually drag their sons out with them. These boys tend to stay warm by sitting in trucks and eating much food. This is one such son. He sits on the cooler waiting for lunch :)

Since its been a while...

I thought that I'd post some new photos of the kids :)

I changed most of the pictures to black and white since Ethan's room has a distinctive lilypad glow...

Babies only cooperate for so long...they don't get the concept of bribery yet. For the record I was out 2 reeces peanut butter cups for these pictures.

Ethan's got a funny look on his face but that's par for the course.

Though I got more keepers than I thought I would.
